Doctoral dissertation of Vitalii Kozachyna is recommended for further defence
On 4 June 2026, the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies hosted a professional seminar for the preliminary review of the doctoral dissertation of Vitalii Anatoliiovych Kozachyna, Candidate of Technical Sciences and Associate Professor at the Department of Hydraulics, Water Supply and Physics. The seminar was held at the SEI ‘Dnipro Institute of Infrastructure and Transport’.
The meeting was chaired by Oleksii Leonidovych Tiutkin, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor and head of the Department of Transport Infrastructure.
During the seminar, Vitalii Kozachyna presented the results of his doctoral research, which he completed during his first year of doctoral studies. His scientific consultant is Mykola Mykolaiovych Biliaiev, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor and head of the Department of Hydraulics, Water Supply and Physics.
The preliminary review of the dissertation was carried out by the following reviewers:
• Anatolii Serafimovych Bielikov, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor and head of the Department of Occupational Safety, Civil and Economic Security at the SEI ‘Prydniprovska State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture’;
• Mykola Mykolaiovych Nalysko, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor at the Department of Occupational Safety, Civil and Economic Security at the SEI ‘Prydniprovska State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture’;
• Oleh Ihorovych Sablin, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor at the Department of Environmental and Civil Safety of the SEI ‘Dnipro Institute of Infrastructure and Transport’.
During the discussion, the seminar participants emphasised the relevance of the research, its scientific novelty and practical value. The dissertation received high praise from experts and was recommended for further consideration by the specialised academic council D 08.084.07 in speciality 05.26.01 ‘Occupational Safety’. The council includes leading scholars from USUST and other higher education institutions and research organisations of Ukraine in the fields of occupational safety and life safety.
