Dnipro Professional College of Engineering and Pedagogy of USUST represents the university at ‘Science Picnics 2026’
On 4 June 2026, the separate structural subdivision ‘Dnipro Professional College of Engineering and Pedagogy’ of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies took part in the city festival ‘Science Picnics 2026’, held in Kamianske. The event united young people, educators, researchers, representatives of enterprises, public organisations, and all those interested in modern science, technology, and innovation.
For the second year in a row, ‘Science Picnics’ has become one of the region’s largest science outreach events. This year, the festival gathered 15 teams from Kamianske and other communities of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, presenting STEM projects, engineering developments, scientific experiments, robotic solutions, and modern technologies. The venue was the Central Park of Kamianske, where visitors could not only watch demonstrations but also take part in experiments and interactive activities.
For Dnipro Professional College of Engineering and Pedagogy, participation in the festival was an excellent opportunity to present the educational potential of USUST structural subdivisions, demonstrate the practical focus of student training, and show that modern technical education combines fundamental knowledge, engineering thinking, and the skills needed for successful professional development.
During the event, visitors explored the college’s demonstration areas, spoke with lecturers and students, learned about study opportunities at USUST, and saw first-hand how modern technologies are applied in various fields of engineering and manufacturing.
It is particularly pleasant that the college’s exhibition attracted the attention of Kamianske Mayor Andrii Bilousov and his team. While visiting the exhibition areas, he reviewed the presented projects, noted their practical value, and thanked the college community for its significant contribution to the development of education, science, and professional training for young people.
Participation in such events is an important part of the career guidance activities of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies. Open communication with school students, together with the demonstration of real student projects and modern equipment, helps young people better understand the opportunities offered by technical education and make informed choices about their future professions.
The Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies expresses its gratitude to the administration, lecturers, staff, and students of Dnipro Professional College of Engineering and Pedagogy for their active participation in the festival and for proudly representing the university’s opportunities. Special thanks are also extended to the organisers of ‘Science Picnics 2026’ for creating an open scientific and educational space that promotes science, technical creativity, and innovation among young people.
Together, we continue to promote USUST, modern science, and technical education, opening new opportunities for learning, professional growth, and future achievements.
