Civil Protection Training Held at USUST

On April 30, 2025, a facility-based civil protection training was held at the Scientific and Educational Institute “Prydniprovska State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture” of Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies. The training focused on actions to be taken in the event of a fire.

The university’s management, personnel of the Civil Protection and Occupational Safety Department, as well as students, took part in the exercise. Special attention was given to practicing fire extinguishing skills: under the guidance of firefighters, participants had the opportunity to try extinguishing a simulated fire using basic fire suppression tools.

The exercise was observed by the head of the city fire department and Oleksandr Sheremet, an industrial training instructor from the Dnipro Territorial Courses. They praised the coordinated efforts of the participants and highlighted the professional training of the Civil Protection and Occupational Safety Department.

As a result of the training, the practical skills of all management levels were improved, and the goal of the exercise was considered achieved. The overall rating of the event was “good.”
