‘Book Vibe’ for the All-Ukrainian Library Day

On September 25, 2025, the ‘Book Vibe’ event was held at the SEI of ‘PSACEA’. The initiative was organized by the teaching staff of the Department of Ukrainian Studies, Documentation and Information Activities, with the support of the USUST Student Development Department. The event brought together all book lovers around a noble goal – enriching the university library collection and promoting reading among students.

 

The event took place during a curator’s hour on the platform of the department’s student scientific clubs ‘Tvoe’ (‘Yours’) and ‘Prostir Slova’ (‘Realm of word’), moderated by the club leaders — philologists Olena Stepanenko and Larysa Bohuslavska.

 

The program included warm conversations about literature, readings of favorite works, creative performances by students, and the quiz ‘Recognize a contemporary Ukrainian writer’. Special attention was drawn to the creative presentations by students of gr. UML-25 about modern Ukrainian authors, as well as to poetry performances. Original poems were presented by the student Viktoriia Tatara, along with renowned Dnipro scholars and poets – Valentyna Babenko, Daria Nechepurenko, and Maksym Borodin.

 

The students from groups KER-23, UML-23, UML-24, UML-25, TGPV-23, and PCB-25 took part in the event, highlighting its cross-departmental character and uniting both ‘physicists’ and ‘lyricists’.

 

An important part of the event was the collection of books for the university library: participants donated more than 50 publications by Ukrainian and foreign authors. The campaign will continue until September 30, the All-Ukrainian Library Day.

 

Summing up the meeting, Olena Barannyk, head of the Department of Ukrainian Studies, Documentation and Information Activities, emphasized the importance of such initiatives for the development of reading culture. ‘Book Vibe’ became a true celebration of books and words, combining charity, education, and creativity in a single space.
