August Meeting at USUST

On August 30, 2024, the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies hosted its traditional August meeting, dedicated to summarizing the results of the past academic year and defining the strategic directions for the university’s future development. The presidium included the university’s leadership: Rector Kostiantyn Sukhyi, Vice-Rectors Anatolii Radkevych, Yurii Proidak, and Olha Ryzhova, and the Head of the Combined Trade Union of USUST – Andrii Selehei.

During the meeting, the Rector presented the honorary professor’s mantle to Serhii Mykolaiovych Voit, the General Director of the Southern Machine-Building Plant, recognized for his outstanding contributions to the development of science and education. Key strategic initiatives were discussed, including the creation of a new Aerospace University, digitalization of the educational process, and the “Green University” concept, aimed at implementing eco-friendly technologies and raising environmental awareness among students and staff.

Emphasis was placed on the importance of respecting the academic and teaching staff and the need to improve the university’s ranking at the national and international levels.

Lieutenant Colonel Yurii Mykolaiovych Bereza, a battalion commander and associate professor, was introduced as a new staff member. He highlighted that ending the war requires not only technologies but also well-prepared personnel.
