Art Exhibition “The Garden and Beyond”

On January 17, 2025, the art exhibition “The Garden and Beyond” opened at the House of Architects in Dnipro, running until February 16. Four talented artists — Valentyna Ariepieva, Lesia Beldii, Nataliia Larina, and Hanna Slavinska — presented their works in watercolor, pastel, linocut, and mixed media techniques.

These artists share not only a passion for art but also a close connection to architecture. Two of the participants have direct ties to the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies (SEI “Prydniprovska State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture”). Their art highlights the beauty of nature and the harmony it offers, even in the most challenging times.

Valentyna Ariepieva, a graphic artist and member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, grew up in a farming family and became the first in her family to earn a higher education degree. Her works are a blend of emotions and keen observations of nature. She believes that, in art as in nature, everything develops gradually. Currently, Valentyna participates in numerous international exhibitions, “sowing flowers along the roadside” of her creative journey.

Lesia Beldii, a graduate of PSACEA, is an architect, illustrator, and designer. She is captivated by watercolor for its ability to convey lightness and fluidity. Lesia compares a garden to painting — every brushstroke, like a plant, creates a unique image.

Nataliia Larina, a member of the French association «Art du Pastel» and the American «Red Rock» society, believes pastel is the shortest path between the artist and the artwork. Her paintings are more than just landscapes; they are stories full of movement, time, and hope.

Hanna Slavinska, an architect and lecturer at USUST, calls watercolor her passion for its transparency and pastel her favorite for its tenderness and warmth. Her works radiate tranquility, harmonizing with the hearts of every viewer.

The “The Garden and Beyond” exhibition offers visitors coziness, inspiration, and vivid emotions. It is a wonderful opportunity to immerse oneself in a world of art where nature becomes a source of harmony and beauty.

We invite everyone to enjoy this incredible exhibition at the House of Architects!
