USUST Joins the Erasmus+ International Project on Digital Transformation of Water Education

The Department of Inorganic Substances and Ecology Technologies at the SEI USUCT of USUST has become a participant in the international project “Enhancing Digital Skills in Higher Education in the Water Sector” (DIGISKILLS) under the Erasmus+ program. The aim of the project is to update educational content and laboratory facilities, and to enhance the digital competence of both lecturers and students in academic programs related to ecology and chemical water treatment technologies.

The project brings together nine universities from Norway, Moldova, Serbia, Romania, and Ukraine. The coordinator of the initiative is the Norwegian University of Life Sciences, and the kick-off meeting was held at the University of Niš (Serbia). The USUST team was represented by Viktor Hevod and Olena Hruzdieva (in person), and Roman Smotraiev (online).

Over the course of three days, participants discussed key aspects of the digital transformation of the educational process in the water sector, including technical support, teaching methods, and strategies for sharing experiences between European and Ukrainian universities.
