Myths and innovations of the Education Reform

On May 8, 2024, the acting rector of the University of Science and Technologies, Kostyantyn Sukhyi, during the broadcast of the program “Checkmate” on the Vidrkytyi channel, dispelled myths about the education reform and talked about innovations for applicants in 2024.

There are some key questions from the interview:

  • When should applications for admission to the university be submitted?
  • How many points are required from the National Multidisciplinary Test (NMT) to be admitted to the university?
  • The contract-based form of education will be replaced by a grant system.
  • Applicants will be able to choose a field of study upon admission, and by the second or third year, they will select a specialization.
  • Higher education students will have the right to adjust the duration of their studies.
  • The Prydniprovska State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports will be merged with the University of Science and Technologies.

Kostyantyn Sukhyi also spoke about the process of selecting the university rector and shared his vision for the development of the University of Science and Technologies over the next 5 years.
