Horizon Europe National Contact Point Established at USUST!

According to the results of the competitive selection, the Ministry of Education and Science has created a network of national contact points (NCPs) for the EU scientific program “Horizon Europe”. The Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies is the only institution in the Dnipropetrovsk region that has become one of the winners! Our university has established an NCP in the most relevant area of activity: “Climate, Energy, Mobility”. Vladyslav Danishevskyi, the acting director of the SEI “Prydniprovska State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture”, has been appointed as the head of the NCP.

The network consists of 22 NCPs in 14 higher education institutions, 4 research institutions of the National Academy of Sciences, and 2 state institutions subordinate to the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Environmental Protection. The established NCPs will operate in 12 settlements within 10 regions of Ukraine.

The mission of the NCP: to activate the participation of Ukrainian institutions and organizations in the “Horizon Europe” and “Euratom” programs in order to attract European grants to strengthen the Ukrainian research and innovation potential. The development of the NCP network creates an infrastructure to support Ukrainian scientists in EU research grant programs.

Today’s success is the natural result of the great experience of the academy and university scientists in preparing numerous grant proposals, victories in scientific and academic competitions of the European Union, and the effective implementation of many international projects. Today, the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies is becoming one of the national “centers of excellence” in the field of international scientific cooperation.
