Excellent Finish for USUST Athletes
From July 24 to 26, 2024, Junior Ukrainian Athletics Championships took place in Ivano-Frankivsk, at the stadium of the National Technical University of Oil and Gas. The championship opening was attended by the acting president of the Ukrainian Athletics Federation, Olga Saladukha, who wished the athletes success and good luck. The ceremonial atmosphere was complemented by raising the Olympic flag in honor of the start of the Olympics in Paris.
276 male and female athletes competed for national titles, demonstrating their athletic abilities and potential. Our students performed excellently!
Kiril Fatieiev, a student of group EP-01-23 (SEI IPBT), won and became the Ukrainian champion in the 400-metres hurdles, setting a personal record with a time of 53.15 seconds. Alyona Chass, a student of group ME-03-22 (SEI IPBT), traditionally became the Ukrainian champion in the triple jump.
Our athletes are preparing for world competitions, including the World Championship in Peru, which will take place from August 26 to 30, 2024. Although Kiril Fatieiev’s participation in the World Championship is still uncertain, we wish him success. We wish Alyona Chass a productive training camp in Uzhhorod and high results at the main event of the year!
